'Imagine Eric Dolphy playing Stravinsky-esque circus music and you’ll get some inkling of the kind of music that Early Nite make’ (Free Range)

Early Nite is a trio based in Manchester. We have an album called Dustbin Smugglin'. It contains a selection of throwaway music for you to listen too, maybe once, or maybe a few times more. We have sometimes performed in real life, and have also sometimes been heard on such programs as Jazz Now, on BBC Radio 3

See here, following this information to see, two reviews that have been written by a human listener for our recent album, Dustbin Smugglin'

"“This is jazzy, mostly groove based music, metrically complex but riding a straight rock rather than swing feel that’s raucous, gritty and good-humoured - exuberant and uplifting. The players’ amazing range of techniques are deployed with great energy and a wide dynamic range.” The Wire"

“This Manchester-based sax-bass-drum trio mightn’t have the sophistication of key influences Ornette’s Primetime and Henry Threadgill’s AIR, but they’re an unpretentious mix of bare-boned skronk and good tunes.” Jazzwise
